The Proposal Manager will co-ordinate and produce the proposal (RFQ, RFI, RFP etc.) creating captivating bids and proposals. As the subject matter expert, you will be responsible for managing all tenders (RFI/RFP/Presentations) with objective of winning bids.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a credible and impressive track record in proposal management. A natural Bids & Proposal Manager, you’ll be comfortable reporting to a team of subject matter experts to craft winning solutions to time and budget.

You’ll own the creation & delivery of the proposal covering the services and solutions, presentation and negotiation of the agreement in conjunction with the Practice Lead owner of the prospective client.

Key areas include:

  • Overseeing the bid/proposal/tender to support the overall company strategy for growth
  • Establishing the business case, detail a compelling executive summary and overview of the overall solution (benefits, USP, why, how, what etc) and any other commercial considerations
  • Responsible for managing the internal “shred” and working closely with subject matter expects to clearly articulate company policy, processes and procedures
  • Review any schedules, statement of works, deliverables, and intentions related to the opportunity
  • interfacing with internal stakeholders to assess and review bids to ensure best and final response is submitted

Core Responsibilities

  • To manage the bid qualification (bid go / no go) process for new opportunities
  • Delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes
  • Coordinate and review / edit proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions key subject matter experts
  • Ability to coach subject matter experts in persuasive writing and proposal best practice
  • Build an RFP library of proposals, responses, bids, policies, version control etc
  • Document template management in line with company branding
  • Ensure final proposal is error free, holds correct information and meets the requirement.
  • You will implement and manage the bid processes and strategies.
  • To ensure quality of RFI/P documents are quality assured giving best possible solution.
  • Communicating the bid process to all members of business stakeholders.
  • Building cross-functional teams and responsible for training/development of those teams.
  • Regular continuous improvement and bid management processes to drive improvements and efficiencies.

Skills/Attributes

  • Proven ability in planning, producing and delivering compliant proposals
  • Creation of templates for RFP responses
  • Strong graphic creation and presentation format layout
  • Experienced in scheduling and running proposal kick-off meetings, leading storyboarding sessions, Facilitating key review meetings & final document review
  • You’ll be able to evaluate information rapidly and help shape tailored proposals with complete confidence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Communicate and influence at a senior level
  • Strong time management / prioritisation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proposal automation software (or similar) experience
  • Microsoft 365

Qualifications

Ideally Degree educated and certified to APMP Foundation / Practitioner Level
